Frequently asked questions
What is IV drip therapy?
IV drip therapy delivers fluids, vitamins, minerals, and nutrients directly into your bloodstream through an IV. This skips digestion so your body can absorb what it needs more efficiently.
Why would someone get an IV drip?
People come in for lots of reasons, including:
- Low energy or fatigue
- Dehydration
- Immune support
- Recovery after workouts, travel, or long weeks
- Skin and beauty support
- Focus and mental clarity
Some people drip regularly, others only when they feel off. There’s no one-size-fits-all.
How long does an IV drip take?
Most drips take 30–60 minutes, depending on the drip and flow rate. Plan for about an hour total including setup time.
How will I feel during and after a drip?
During the drip, most people relax, scroll, or nap. Afterward, people often report feeling:
- More hydrated
- More energized
- Clearer-headed
- Less run-down
Results vary, and some benefits can feel subtle at first.
How long do the effects last?
It depends on your body, lifestyle, and the drip you receive. Some people feel benefits for a few days, others longer. Hydration, sleep, stress, and nutrition all play a role.
Do IV drips hurt?
You’ll feel a quick pinch when the IV is placed, similar to a blood draw. After that, it’s usually smooth sailing.
Is IV drip therapy safe?
Yes, when medically approved and administered by trained professionals. Safety is our priority.
- All services are subject to medical approval
- Your provider determines if IV therapy is appropriate for you
- We may decline service if it’s not safe for your health
Do I need medical approval?
Yes. Every drip requires medical approval.
- Some guests are approved quickly in-clinic
- New clients or those with expired approval may need DripsyCLEAR (telehealth)
- DripsyCLEAR includes a $35 non-refundable fee, regardless of approval outcome
- Approval is valid for up to 6 months
Does buying a drip ticket guarantee treatment?
No. Purchasing a drip, ticket, or pass does not guarantee service.
Final approval is always up to the medical provider based on health and safety.
Refunds are reviewed on a case-by-case basis. While the DripsyCLEAR telehealth fee is non-refundable, any Drip Tickets purchased prior to denial by a licensed healthcare provider will be refunded.
Is IV therapy a replacement for my doctor?
No. Dripsy is not a replacement for your primary care provider.
IV therapy is a wellness support service, not medical diagnosis or treatment.
Can I add boosters to my drip?
Sometimes, yes. Boosters are optional add-ons and must be:
- Medically appropriate
- Approved by your provider
- Available at the time of service
- Compatible with your chosen drip
How often can I get IV drips?
Frequency depends on your goals and health history. Some people drip monthly, others more or less often. Your provider can help guide what’s appropriate for you.
At Dripsy, you can drip up to twice weekly if medically appropriate for you with at least 48 hours in between drip sessions.
Who should avoid IV drip therapy or check with a provider first?
You should let us know if you are:
- Pregnant or breastfeeding
- Managing kidney disease, heart failure, or cardiovascular conditions
- On fluid restrictions
- Under 18
- Taking certain medications or have complex medical conditions
When in doubt, ask. We’ll always choose safety over vibes.
Do you accept walk-ins?
Yes. Walk-ins are welcome when availability allows at participating locations.
Booking ahead or purchasing a ticket can help streamline your visit, but a ticket is not required for walk-in service.
