Micronutrient Guide

Micronutrient Guide

What your body actually needs, why it matters, and how Dripsy delivers it

At Dripsy, we don’t believe in guessing games with your health. Micronutrients are the quiet power players behind energy, immunity, metabolism, mood, skin, and recovery. When you’re depleted, your body lets you know. Fatigue, brain fog, weak immunity, poor sleep, stubborn weight, dull skin, chronic stress.

This guide breaks down every ingredient we use at Dripsy, what it does, who typically needs it, and why IV or IM delivery can make a difference.

No fluff. No trends. Just the receipts.

Vitamins

Vitamin B12 (Cobalamin)

What it does:

Supports energy production, red blood cell formation, nerve health, and brain function.

You might need it if:

You’re exhausted, foggy, vegetarian/vegan, stressed, or struggling with focus.

Why IV/IM/SQ:

Absorption issues are common with oral B12. Injections and IV delivery bypass the gut entirely.

B-Complex (B1, B2, B3, B5, B6, B7, B9, B12)

What it does:

Helps convert food into energy, supports the nervous system, metabolism, stress response, and skin health.

You might need it if:

You’re burnt out, overworked, anxious, dieting, or living on caffeine.

Fun fact:

This is what gives some drips that iconic yellow glow. Energy, but make it science.

Vitamin C (Ascorbic Acid)

What it does:

Supports immune defense, collagen production, antioxidant protection, and iron absorption.

You might need it if:

You get sick often, feel run down, want brighter skin, or need recovery support.

Why IV/IM:

High-dose vitamin C isn’t possible orally without GI upset. IV & IM allows therapeutic levels.

Vitamin D3

What it does:

Supports immune health, hormone balance, bone strength, and mood regulation.

You might need it if:

You’re tired, moody, get sick often, or avoid the sun (aka most adults).

Reality check:

Vitamin D deficiency is extremely common, even in sunny climates.

Minerals & Electrolytes

Magnesium

What it does:

Supports muscle relaxation, sleep, stress response, heart rhythm, and nerve function.

You might need it if:

You have muscle cramps, poor sleep, anxiety, headaches, or constipation.

Fan favorite:

This is a go-to for calm, recovery, and sleep-focused drips.

Zinc

What it does:

Supports immune defense, wound healing, hormone balance, and skin health.

You might need it if:

You get sick often, have acne, slow healing, or frequent infections.

You might need it if:

You avoid dairy, have bone concerns, or are at risk for deficiency.

Potassium

What it does:

Regulates fluid balance, muscle contractions, and heart rhythm.

You might need it if:

You’re dehydrated, cramping, sweating heavily, or active.

Sodium & Chloride

What they do:

Maintain hydration, nerve impulses, and blood pressure.

You might need them if:

You sweat a lot, work out intensely, or feel lightheaded when dehydrated.

Amino Acids & Performance Support

Amino Blend

What it does:

Supports muscle recovery, metabolism, endurance, and tissue repair.

You might need it if:

You train hard, are losing weight, or want lean muscle support.

What it does:

Helps transport fatty acids into cells for energy production.

You might need it if:

You’re focused on metabolism, weight management, or energy optimization.

L-Glutamine

What it does:

Supports gut health, immune function, and muscle recovery.

You might need it if:

Antioxidants & Cellular Defense

Glutathione

What it does:

The body’s master antioxidant. Supports detox pathways, immune defense, and cellular repair.

You might need it if:

You’re stressed, inflamed, exposed to toxins, or focused on longevity and glow.

Why IV push:

Glutathione works best when delivered directly and efficiently.

N-Acetyl Cysteine (NAC)

What it does:

Supports liver detox, respiratory health, and glutathione production.

You might need it if:

You want liver support, lung health, or recovery from oxidative stress.

Hydration Bases

Normal Saline

What it does:

Provides hydration, electrolyte balance, and circulatory support.

Best for:

General hydration, illness recovery, or mild depletion.

Lactated Ringer’s

What it does:

Advanced hydration with electrolytes that closely mimic blood plasma.

Best for:

Athletes, illness recovery, dehydration, and performance support.
